Inspired by the verdant tropics, central location as well as people-centric innovations, the upcoming integrated development is designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, in collaboration with Carlo Ratti Associati.
The same architect behind Google’s Mountain View campus and the new LEGO house in Denmark, the redevelopment of Golden Shoe Car Park marks the first built project for the socially-conscious Danish architect in Southeast Asia.
Insta-greenery
Treetop cocoons, sky hammocks, a café, and a spiral stairway within a botanical promenade at a breathtaking 100 metres above ground – sounds like our Instagram dream come true! The 4-storey Green Oasis is set within one of the greenest buildings in Singapore’s Raffles Place business district.
There will also be cascading landscapes at the rooftop in addition to a restaurant and Singapore’s highest urban farm. Behold the panoramic cityscape views!
Part of the current Market Street will also be transformed into a 12,500-sq-ft public park which means even more green space for weekly yoga sessions or free lunchtime performances. For the art lovers among us, stay tuned for the installations and unwind at one of the many green pockets.
